Digital zoom function

Equipped with advanced AF to accurately capture the subject
High-rigidity toughness body that enables shooting in any location
The body design is the same as the “X-H2s”, with 79-point sealing for dust-proof, splash-proof, and freeze-proof to -10°C. Equipped with a high-rigidity body that can withstand the rigors of professional photography, an LCD screen on the top, adjustable AF ON button comfort, a 1,620,000-dot vari-angle LCD monitor, and a separate video recording button for comfortable operability support.

Equipped with the newly developed “X-Trans™ CMOS 5 HR” (*1) sensor to achieve the highest image quality in the history of the “X Series”

Meeting the needs of professional video production with enhanced video performance
Supports 8K/30P 4:2:2 10bit video recording for the first time in the “X series” (*3). Adopting the same heat dissipation structure as the “X-H2s”, it enables 8K/30P video recording of approximately 160 minutes (*4). In addition, the “4K HQ” mode, which generates high-quality 4K video from the abundant amount of 8K data, is also newly installed. We realize the image has a high definition feeling that we made use of a high pixel sensor in. Supports three Apple ProRes (*5) codecs: ProRes 422 HQ, ProRes 422, and 422 LT. Proxy shooting such as ProRes 422 Proxy is also possible when shooting ProRes (*6). It reduces the burden of editing 8K videos, streamlines the entire workflow from shooting to post-production, and saves labor. *3: As of September 9, 2022. *4: At cold starts in a 25°C environment. Auto power off temperature “high”, H.265 4:2:0, bit rate 200Mbps setting. When using the vertical battery grip “VG-XH” and using 3 batteries. However, the recording time depends on the remaining battery power and the type and capacity of the memory card. Also, if the body temperature rises, shooting may stop automatically. *5: Apple ProRes is a trademark of Apple Inc. registered in the US and other countries. *6: Cannot be used when recording 8K/30P and 8K/25P movies.

Video RAW data output via HDMI
RAW data output of up to 8K/30P 12bit is possible via HDMI. In addition, you can record as Apple ProRes RAW with ATOMOS’ “NINJA V+” (*7) and as Blackmagic RAW with Blackmagic Design’s “Video Assist 12G” (*8). *7: An Atomos product that integrates a monitor and recorder. *8: A product manufactured by Blackmagic Design that integrates a monitor and recorder.

Specs
Description
Equipped with a newly developed back-illuminated approx. 40.2-megapixel “X-Trans™ CMOS 5 HR” (*1) sensor and a high-speed image processing engine “X-Processor 5” to achieve the highest image quality in the history of the “X series”. It is a flagship model. Not only high-quality photos that make use of high pixels but also high-definition 8K / 30P video can be taken. It further expands the range of still image and video shooting of the “X Series” to meet a wide range of needs. The high-rigidity body features a 5-axis in-body image stabilization mechanism with a maximum of 7.0 steps (*2), and a variety of interfaces including dual slots for CFexpress™ Type B cards (*3).
