X SUMMIT HIGHLIGHTS

Fujifilm X Summit Tokyo 2024 was held at Roppongi Tokyo, Japan. FUJIFILM Corporation (President & CEO, Representative Director: Teiichi Goto) launched the new FUJIFILM X100VI digital camera. The latest model of Fujifilm’s X Series line of digital camera products, X100VI offers outstanding image quality, compact size, and a lightweight body, along with Fujifilm’s legendary color reproduction technology.

Alongside a Fujifilm X100VI Limited Edition version was also announced, limited to a run of just 1934 cameras. Furthermore, Fujifilm also tucked some additional news into the end of the X Summit, including a tease for a new version of long-standing X-mount kit lens, new XF 16-50mm F2.8-4.8 with promised improvements to compactness, versatility, and sharpness! MASTERCLASS HIGHLIGHTS

"Big Films with Small Cameras" - Aditya Varma (Kerala)

FUJIFILM India with the event partner MBIT Video Club organised a Masterclass on Filmmaking with X-Ambassador Aditya Varma, Director of Photography, on Feb 27th, 2024 in Kochi, Kerala.

More than 100 aspirants attended the masterclass. This masterclass focused on deconstructing Aditya’s videos and films, proved to be a resounding success. Participants were provided with profound insights into the benefits of using small cameras to capture stunning footage. Guided by Aditya’s extensive experience, attendees gained invaluable tips and tricks from his personal repertoire, enhancing their skills in Filmmaking & Production and allowing them to take their newfound knowledge home.

WORKSHOP HIGHLIGHTS

“Art of street Photography”- Moustapha M. (Bangalore)

A classroom session and street photo walk were conducted by Moustapha M. on the topic “Art of street photography” on 10th & 11th Feb 2024 in Bangalore. Participants explored the vibrant streets, capturing raw moments and urban narratives. His guidance enriched perspectives, emphasizing storytelling through composition and light through X and GFX series cameras. The event ignited creativity, fostering a deeper appreciation for the city’s visual tapestry.

“Art of Wedding Photography & Cinematography” - Gautam Variya (Karnataka)

Art of wedding photography & cinematography workshop was conducted by Gautam Variya on 20th Feb 2024 in Karnataka. Participants honed skills in composition, lighting, and storytelling, gaining expertise in documenting the essence of love and celebration. The workshop elevated wedding photography to an art form, inspiring creativity.

“Art of Wedding Photography” – Kunnal Vasanth (Tamil Nadu)

A workshop was conducted by Kunnal Vasanth about “Art of Wedding photography” on 28th & 29th Feb 2024 in Thanjavur & Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu. Attendees immersed themselves in techniques, mastering the craft of capturing cherished moments with X series cameras. Moreover, through his guidance, participants learned to weave narratives with light, emotion, and composition, enriching their photographic storytelling skills.

“Art of Wedding Photography” - Vasanth Saravanan (Tamil Nadu)

Art of Wedding Photography workshop was conducted by Vasanth Saravanan on 27th Feb 2024 in Salem, Tamil Nadu. The event showcased the seamless integration of creativity and technology using X series Cameras. Attendees immersed themselves in the intricacies of documenting love stories, honing their skills in composition and lighting. His guidance illuminated the path to creating timeless and emotive wedding photographs, inspiring participants to new heights of creativity.

“Lights & Fashion | Fashion Photography” - Sundeep Bali (Delhi)

A workshop on Fashion Photography was conducted by Sundeep Bali on 17th Feb 2024 in Delhi at Fujifilm X Space. Attendees delved into the symbiotic relationship between light and fashion imagery, mastering techniques to evoke mood and accentuate style. His expertise illuminated the path to creating stunning and evocative fashion photographs. with finesse.

FIRMWARE UPDATES:

New firmware updates were announced by FUJIFILM for X series cameras and XF lenses in February with more improved exposure tracking Features and performance, and much more for X-T30 II, XF16-55mm, XF16-80mm, XF18-120mm.
